Extravaganza Frequently Asked Questions

Can I volunteer to help at the Extravaganza?
If you are interested in volunteering while at the event, please stop by the Hospitality Table in the Exhibit area and ask if there are any volunteer needs that you could help with.

Where should I fly in to?
Houston has two airports: Bush International and Houston Hobby. Hobby is much closer to the hotel, but has fewer flight and airline options.

We have once again partnered with Delta for discounted fares.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel in Houston?
If you are flying into Bush a cab is expensive, around $60. Hobby is a bit less at $26.

Houston is served by ride sharing services and Super Shuttle. We have worked out a discounted rate.

How do I make my hotel reservation?

We will post links to the hotel website in the next few weeks. By booking through the Network web site, you are guaranteed the best possible room rate.

How do I pay my balance owed?
If you owe a balance for your Extravaganza or your Network membership, there are three options

  1. You can bring a check or pay by credit card at registration.
  2. You can pay online by logging in to your network account.
  3. You can mail a check for the balance

Please mail your check before January 1, 2018 to:

I have questions, who should I contact?

If you have questions about your membership status, or Extravaganza registration, you can contact our Registrar, Laurie Hoium at 701.212.2386 or by e-mail at

Is there parking at the Hyatt, and what does it cost?
The hotel has both valet and self-parking. If you choose to drive to the hotel, self-parking is $20/night and valet parking is around $37/night. Self-parking is in an outdoor lot and does not include in-out privileges.

What are the receptions, and do I need an invitation?
There are receptions listed on the schedule page.

Some of the receptions are marked "closed" and are by invitation only. Those receptions that are not labeled this way are open to E participants.

What if I have questions during the event? Where should I get answers?
If you have questions during the Extravaganza, please look for the Hospitality Booth. Our Hospitality Team will be stationed there to answer questions and to help you out. Or, just find someone who is wearing a Network name tag...they'll be glad to help you! Especially if that name tag says "Todd"

What if my assigned roommate doesn't show up?
If your roommate doesn't show up, you will be responsible for the full cost of your single room. Bummer

What is the difference between an Intensive Care Course and an Early Bird Workshop?
Intensive Care Courses are pre-events that focus on on a single subject, in-depth for 10-12 contact hours. There is an extra cost for participating in the Intensive Care Courses.

Early Bird workshops are available for Extravaganza participants who arrive at the event early on Friday and are looking for some additional learning experiences. There is no additional costs for Early Bird Workshops.

What is the sales tax rate for the hotel rooms in Houston?

What's the weather like in Houston at Extravaganza time?
